Our aims

We are a community group of Godalming residents campaigning to help the traders and shoppers of Godalming find a practical alternative to plastic bags. The vision is for a plastic bag free Godalming. Together we can make a real difference to the increasingly disturbing pollution of the environment caused by plastic bags.

The objectives are:

• To work with Godalming traders and shoppers and with other partners to inform people of the problems with plastic bags.
• To research and promote practical and environmentally-friendly alternatives.
• To promote Godalming’s active partners who are aspiring to be plastic bag free.
